When your child joins Gosbecks Primary School, they will need to wear the following uniform:

Dark green jumper, sweatshirt or cardigan 

White polo shirt or shirt 

Grey trousers or shorts 

Grey skirt, dress, or green gingham dress  

Black, white or grey socks and tights

Plain, black shoes should be worn only.  No flip-flops, high heels, or open-toed sandals 

A pair of wellies and a rain coat to be left in school

OPAL

We want our children to play outside as much as possible and we try to use all of our site even during the winter months. Therefore we would like everyone to have a pair of wellington boots and a raincoat.

PE Kits

All children are expected to be suitably dressed for all physical activities. All children must have a bag in school at all times containing unbranded black shorts, white t-shirt and plain black trainers or plimsolls. For cold weather it is a good idea to bring a track suit or warm jumper which must be plain black, grey or dark green. 

Hair and Make-Up

No make-up, nail varnish or hair gel to be worn at school and extreme hair styles and colours are not permitted.  Hair accessories must be small, discrete and in school or neutral colours.

Children with long hair should keep it tied back off their faces during the day and ensure they have the means to secure it back for PE lessons. This also helps to cut down on the incidence of head lice being passed between children.

Jewellery 

In the interests of safety, children must not wear jewellery to school. If your child has pierced ears then no more than one small stud should be worn in each ear. These MUST be removed by the child for PE lessons and are the responsibility of the child.  Watches may be worn but again need to be removed for PE but again these are also the responsibility of the child. 

If the children are going to have their ears pierced, this should be done at the beginning of the summer holidays, allowing time for the children to adjust to putting in and taking out their own earrings.

School uniform items do not have to have a logo on them and uniform can be purchased at any of the large supermarkets or children’s clothing retailers. Please also see below for information on free uniform.
