School Council

The school council is made up with two nominated representatives (one boy and one girl) from each class and Miss Cook. The representatives act as liaison officers between the council and their peers.

The children discuss ideas as a class prior to meetings and the reps take these ideas to the council where all collective ideas are discussed and decisions made about how to take these ideas forward. The outcomes are then fed back to the classes.

School Council Meeting: 20th September

The school council discussed the plans for the new school building.  The school governor, Tim Wright, came in and showed us what buildings would be knocked down and what would be built in their place.  We looked at the overview plans showing what would be where.

Tim has asked the school council to come up with ideas from their classes as to what to do with the space that we will have after the new buildings are completed.  At the moment the music room and the adjoined demountables are going to be demolished leaving a free space.  The governors want the children to decide what to put in the space.

School council representatives have fed back this news to their classes and are bringing their classes’ ideas to the school council’s next meeting.
