Summer Fete 2008
This year’s fete is on Saturday 28th June, starting at 1.00pm. You thought last year was special with our 50th anniversary, well this year it’s even more poignant as it will be the last one for David Burrage, our Headteacher, who retires at the end of July, after 25 years!
As ever we rely on the amazing army of parent and staff volunteers to run the stalls, sell refreshments, set up the field, clear away, and generally help make the day run smoothly.
This year we really do need more volunteers so that we can spread the workload, giving everyone the chance to enjoy the fete and share the work around a little bit.
A separate letter has been sent to you for you to choose which stall you would like to help with. Thank you.
We are also organising prizes for the stalls and raffle. On Friday 15th June, there will be a non uniform day. In return we are asking for a range of donations to provide prizes for the fete and the raffle. As usual each class has been given a theme for the donations as set out below:
Reception/Yr 1/Yr 2 - Bottles
Year 3 – Beach or picnic items
Year 4 - Smellies
Year 5 – Garden items
Year 6 – Chocolates and Sweets
Finally, following the success of last year’s BBQ after the fete, we have decided to do this again. The BBQ will start at 5.30pm – it’s bring your own food (and cook it) and drink.
